WHEW! yesterday we had an AWESOME group of eighteen new photographer friends over to our studio in oceanside for a one day . our way shootshop! yesterday was extra awesome because it was the first time in the last three shootshops that i haven't been sick and/or completely lost my voice by the end of the day :) we had the fantabulous rachel and andy come on by to strut their stuff for us for a couple hours of shooting and man oh man did they bring it!!! thanks guys!!! also, an extra special shout out and thank you to all of our delightful attendees that took time away from their families and business' to trek here from all over the country to spend time getting learned with us. you guys were...sexy time!!! if you'd like to be in the know for the next shootshop date...which is going to be announced VERY soon...be sure to sign up for email list on the top of the blog :)

no wedding for us today...spent the day chilling around the house with the kiddos. doing nothing was everything we needed :) grace had some much needed bubble time in the backyard!

we picked up a bumbo chair for jasper today...he lubs it long time!

his drool glands have kicked in full force too :)

we had a awesometacular wedding yesterday at the omni with our favorite coordinator merilee from everafter events and we even had our brutha from another mutha the chan man along for the ride! all in all...a perfect way to spend a saturday! just downloading all the cards...i was really excited about these :)

why do jacqueline and chris rock so hard? let me count the ways... 1. they are so cute together if they shot a cute bomb they could explode the death star. 2. their wedding is going to be in san francisco which is like our favorite-est place in the world. 3. chris is an iraq war veteran so he is already super cool...plus he could totally kick my butt. 4. ummm...did i mention how cute they are together???

...was attacked by grace's cinderella wig while we had the photobooth set up yesterday. first the dolls, now the wig...life is rough with a big sister!

a couple weeks ago on a whim we took a quick one night trip up to my parent's cabin in idyllwild with our uber-fab photo friends, the lyons for some much needed chillaxin. on the way up jaclyn, grace and i had our first taste of heaven pinkberry...mmm. we spent most of our time at the cabin just hanging out, feeding the birds and squirrels, eating yummy food, playing at a weak sauce stream, and going to the park with the kiddos. i posted a couple of my fav shots below. also, special note, check out the slideshow above for a few more shots from the trip...just click play! btw...if you're viewing this blog in rss the slideshow may not come up in your reader so hop on over here to check it out! edited to add...i've had a few people ask where i got my uber cool baby wrap carrier. it's called a geela baby wrap and they are actually made by amelia's cousin. they are AWESOME! jasper loves it all wrapped up and it is super comfy...i could wear it all day if i had to. so, if your interested in picking one up, you can buy it online in her etsy shop. enjoy!

january 5th. 2008 location . rancho capistrano florals . stems design studio ok, i should probably preface this post by letting you all know that hell has officially frozen over...i am finally blogging a wedding!!! spank spank...i have been a very bad blogger :( technically i still have six weddings left from 2007 and five so far from this year waiting in the wings to be blogged but we have just been SO swamped that i haven't had enough free time to sit down and blog through a whole wedding! i am in a program...it will get better :) that being said, i figured i'd kick it off with my first wedding of 2008 which was extra-super-over-the-top cool because it happened to be jaclyn's younger sister danielle! jaclyn was the maid of honor in the wedding so i brought along photographer superstar and friend extraordinaire jay reilly to help me out for the day. the night before the wedding it was dumping rain all night...when we came out in the morning there were huge pine trees cracked at the trunk from the previous night's storm! praise God though, it was supposed to rain like the whole wedding day but i think it only barely sprinkled once! heck, there could have been hurricane-hell-in-a-handbasket rolling through and it wouldn't have dampened matt and danielle's spirits! they are both so obviously into each other which of course makes my job all the more easy :) the whole day was awesome and so great to be able to capture so much joy and emotion for those closest to our hearts. when i showed up to shoot the guys prep...i found a very happy matt :)

i love it when couples decide to see each other before the ceremony for photos, it is always a much more intimate time for the couple...not to mention the chance to get some great photos!

i hope you're ready for this! this next image is going to rock your world!!! i'm not quite sure what happened here...i must have been in a trance to be able to create such a breathtakingly beautiful romantical insanely touching artistic interpretation of this fairy tale moment....

after picture time we headed back over to the church to hook up with everyone before the ceremony...the mood was so exciting!!!
