you know when you build something up in your head for so long that it can't possibly be as cool as you think it is? well grace and chris booked us for their wedding in ravello, italy at the re.donk.u.lous villa cimbrone about a year ago and ever since then we've been dreaming about how awesome it would be...well, we're happy to say, grace and chris' wedding was beyond awesome...it was BEAWESOME!!! being imported to italy to shoot a wedding = WIN getting there and discovering that the couple are darn near the coolest people ever = EPIC WIN there are a gabiziltrillion amazing images from this wedding...here's our favorite gabillion :)

grace and chis decided to see each other before the ceremony for portraits which left us plenty of time to do what we do best :)

seriously, the grounds at villa cimbrone are overwhelmingly gorgeous...truly somewhere that has to be experienced in person to truly capture it's awesomeness! we could have wandered around shooting for days...although we probably would have gotten lost in the acres and acres of gardens :)

the view from the edge of the cliff of villa cimbrone takes your breath away...it's a straight drop thousands of feet down to the amalfi coast!!!

after portrait session round one...it was time to head over to the ceremony :)

grace and chris' ceremony was full of emotions...there wasn't a dry eye in the house!

the ring bearer was so choked up over grace getting married...it was SO adorable!!!

sometimes you just have to ask the bridal party to climb on top of a four foot wall to make shots like this happen...thanks for playing along guys!!!

after some post ceremony portraits it was time for grace, chris, and all the guests to make the loooooooooooong trek back into the main piazza of ravello...escorted by two italian men singing and playing guitars the whole way of course :)

after our walk back to town, the guests took a little rest while we headed out for a few more portraits around the small hilltop town of ravello....

after portraits round two, we headed up to the municipal building of ravello where grace and chris were legally married by a town official...gotta make it legit!

we weren't hired to cover the dinner festivities that closed out the amazing day for grace, chris, and their closest family and friends...but here's the view they got to enjoy from the cliffside restaurant :)

oh, and i almost forgot... THE... RING... SHOT!!!
