july 22nd . 2007 . the orange county museum of art
we were so happy to be a part of kara and rob's big wedding day! kara actually contacted us while they both were still stationed with the airforce in japan so it was great to see them safe, sound, and happy back here stateside :) rob had been stationed in iraq up until just a couple weeks before the wedding! they both were so amazing and we had such an awesome time on their wedding day being around them and all of their closest family and friends.
first up, a quick shot of kara in the limo on the way to see rob for the first time...
over in the guys room they were all busy folding combat flags to be presented to honored guests and in memory of fallen soldiers.
kara and rob saw each other for the first time at the orange county museum of art and then we wandered around for a bit to take some photos...it's always nice to have the time to create some fun stuff!
of course if we wander far enough we will inevitably find a parking garage to play around on :)
i just love how intense kara's eyes are in this photo!
rob was quite the character!
after the formals it was onto the ceremony, which was such an awesome location! we've shot at so many beautiful and pretty locations that it is so nice to shoot in a very simple, modern space.
the presentation of the rings...
kara looked radiant watching rob say his vows :)
rob's dance with his mother was very moving!
check out the courtyard that they converted to a cool lounge area...awesome!
then the party really got started!
the ring bearer was a hoot during the reception, he kept running around throwing flowers all over himself and everyone else :)
then the evening took a fun turn :) rob busted out some sake straight from japan whose bottle contains the third most poisonous snake in the world! this is the kind of stuff that puts the hair on your chest...it smelt like bogwater and pure gasoline!
and the reaction after a shot :)
then it was on to the cigars!
thanks again for an awesome night guys!!!
