THE WERELY WEDDING AT THE CHAPEL OF THE HOLY DOVE

there are some wedding days you know are going to stick with you for a lifetime. our time together with susan and jake celebrating their intimate marriage in the mountains around flagstaff arizona was filled with countless belly laughs and tears of joy.

THE CHAN FAMILY

these are our dear friends the chans. over the eight years we’ve known them we’ve been lucky enough to photograph their wedding, them as a couple multiple times, their family when they were a family of three, and now again as a family of four. the past few chapters in their story have been filled with many trials, but they've managed to never let themselves be defined by them. they’ve risen to every challenge set before them and continually inspired us and countless others every step of the way. photographing nellie, michael, rock, and ruby in their beautiful home just doing normal life for a couple hours is such an honor. already looking forward to next time!

THE BENNETT WEDDING

days like these filled with people like these are a rare gift to be sure. meredith and cody's marriage celebration on meredith's uncle's farm in rural nashville was so effortlessly perfect. their love and enthusiasm for each other, life, and their friends and family was truly refreshing and inspiring to us and to everyone who was on hand to witness it. i so desperately wish words were my thing so i could adequately explain how much meredith and cody and their wedding day affected us for the better, but alas, these images will have to do.

THE BENNETT WEDDING // SOME FILM

this blog doesn't usually see much of our film work, it's usually dropped over on our PERSONAL BLOG but this year i've been slooooowly but surely melding our personal film work into our professional work. when cody told me to feel free to make some film images at their wedding, i brought along my trusty 54 year old minolta autocord and the never-know-what-you're-gonna-get sprocketrocket to make some frames. shooting the slow and methodical autocord alongside our do-everything-perfectly-lighting-fast nikons was a mind trip and most definitely challenging but the images that came from those 24 film frames are some of my favorite ever.

minolta autocord with kodak tri-x developed and scanned at home / sprocketrocket with kodak gold

ANNA + JOSH WED AT BLUE LAKE RANCH IN COLORADO

anna, josh, their beautiful daughter elle, and their closest friends and family came together to celebrate their marriage on a ranch in the middle of colorado and it was GLORIOUS. theres just something magical that happens when you put a bunch of loved ones out in nature, give them amazing food, wash that down with whisky, and dance the night away.

THE HUNYOR WEDDING

the series of images in the middle of their frigid portrait session where steve is warming anne-marie's hands by blowing on them just sums it all up.
