this week we met 15 new photographer friends at another one of our ONE DAY . OUR WAY SHOOTSHOPS! minds were melted, lids were flipped, and many laughs were had by all :) a very special thanks to all of the amazing photographers who traveled from far and wide to come hang with us...it was so great to meet all of you!!! another huge thanks to our amazing models, bobby and lindsay who came out and strutted their stuff for us all afternoon :) here's a few of our favs from the day...

some will say it was the 90 degree heat in los angeles this past saturday...but we know the truth...it was julie and jorge's amazingness that melted our faces off.

every year, my family and i walk for a cause very close to our hearts. the march of dimes has been raising money and awareness to prevent premature birth for over 30 years. this orgazination hits particularly close to home because my sister, nicole has given birth to four premature babies (the earliest being 10 weeks too soon), all of whom had to spend several weeks in the neo-natal intensive care unit. while phillip, joshua, rachel, and jessica have all been able to go home and live fully healthy lives, thousands of other newborns aren't so lucky. in the united states alone, 1 out of every 8 babies is born prematurely. there are many complications that can arise from premature birth and it is the #1 cause of death among newborns. and even though doctors have made amazing advances in caring for premature babies, there is still a lot to be done. our hope in joining the walk is that no family should go through what ours has and if they do, their baby will receive the very best care possible. last day in morro bay we headed down to the beach again for what was supposed to be a nice place to blow some bubbles with the kiddos...well that quickly deteriorated into a very messy afternoon which we weren't prepared for! no bathing suits, no towels, no sunscreen, etc :) jasper immediately went to town in the sand!

flying kites with your kids on a wide open beach in morro bay is the coolest!!! grace had been whining all day about flying her kite and was so depressed when it was raining all day...luckily we caught a perfect one hour break in the storm to take to the beach and fly the crap out of our kites!

we're taking a little family vacation this week with the lyons up on the central coast of california. yay! it's so beautiful up here!!! today we took the kiddos out, braving the rain, to check out the gripload of elephant seals at piedras blancas just north of san simeon. it smelled. rad! all images taken with our handy dandy point and shoot camera ;)

after elephant seal time, we headed down to less's bakery in cambria where eating lunch with four kids was fuuuuuuuun! i must say though, i had one of the best meals of my life...veggie panini + sweet potato fries + coconut cream pie = happy nate :) :) :)

we're taking a little family vacation in morro bay this week with our funtastic friends the lyons. today after a rainstorm finally broke, we headed down to a completely empty beach and let the kiddos fly their kites...life is good :)
